30 days through

So, it has been a while since I have updated. Well, considering how often I had been. As far as my list goes I have filled in all of the spots (instead of leaving some reserved). So here is an update on my progress. I am looking at my printed out version of my list and will update on the goals in that order (rather than date started/completed) since I haven't been dating EVERYTHING I've done. In fact, I think that I will just make this an overall update since I have been working on my goals for 1 month now. It might be neat to do that at the end of every month. To see which months I seem to make more progress in and such.

Goal 1: Watch 26 movies (A-Z): So far I have watched 3 movies. Alice in Wonderland, Dear John, and Remember Me. When I get off of here Jare and I are going to watch When in Rome. So that will be 4 movies this month.

Goal 3: Try 10 different flavors of ice cream at Casey's: This month, I have tried 2 different flavors. Both were pretty tasty. I tried Toffee and Cinnamon Bun. YUM!

Goal 21: Try 10 new restaurants: So far, I have tried 3 new restaurants. Two were good and 1 I won't go back to. I tried Swenson's on 6/5, Two Tomato on 6/13, and Thelma's Sports Nook on 6/17. At Thelma's, we had LOUSY service and bad food. Therefore, the chances of me going back there are slim to none!

Goal 22: Project 365: I have begun taking daily pictures. While, I haven't posted them on FB every day I have taken a picture every day! I need to take the ones off my camera and put them on there, but I haven't had time to. Click Here to see Project 365.

Goal 27: Read 50 books: Still working on that first book.... must... get... motivated... to... READ!

Goal 36: Find a Fair Trade coffee: Well, surprisingly Wal-Mart has a fair trade coffee. So far, that is the only one I have tried, but we have bought it a couple times now. A step in the right direction!!

Goal 43: 100 Things that make me happy: So far, I have 50. I am half way there! I started the list, now I just need to find time to sit down again and work on it some more!!!

Goal 47: Complete a 1000 piece puzzle: I have begun working my way up to a 1000 pieces! Last night, J and I did a 100 piece puzzle. Today I started working on a 550 piece puzzle. Both are beautiful Thomas Kinkade puzzles.

Goal 51: Buy a Coach purse: COMPLETE! I bought a VERY cute Coach wristlet =) See older post for picture!!

Goal 65: Try 5 new foods: While Jare and I were at the Chinese Buffet one day I decided to try Almond Tofu. Not a bad taste, but the texture was NOT for me!

Well, I think that is all I have worked on this month. Which is quite a bit. I need to stay motivated. So all my Nestie friends, that's where you come in. Keep me motivated and I will return the favor. I hope that all of your goals are beginning to be accomplished!

Life, Love, and the pusuit of COACH!!

Since my last post, I decided to change one of my goals. Instead of only trying 5 new restaurants, I will up it to 10. Seeing as I have just started my goals and I have already tried 2 new restaurants! That being said, I went to lunch with a friend of mine at a delicious Italian Restaurant. It's called Two Tomato. We had an amazing dish called Penne Aurora. It was penne pasta, Alfredo sauce, spinach, and sun-dried (well what was supposed to be sun-dried) tomatoes. Delicious!!!

That was Sunday, but Saturday I purchased my first real coach bag!!! Its just a small wrist-let, but that's all I really carry right now anyways. I LOVE it!! The receipt says I saved $78 on it =) I love saving money, accomplishing goals, and carrying cute bags!!! I have also begun making my list of 100 things that make me happy. I really have to sit down and think about it. I mean a lot of things make me happy, but to actually sit down and make a list of 100 things, I never thought it would be this difficult.

Also, at the Chinese restaurant the other day I tried almond tofu. I wasn't too keen on the texture, but I still tried it. The flavor wasn't that bad.

I am also adding to my goals: Buy a Sudoku book and finish EVERY puzzle!

An update on my goals...

So its seems that I am making some progress towards completing goals. On Friday, I made a dent in not one, but two goals. First, we went to Casey's for ice cream. Instead of getting nerd heaven (blue moon ice cream with sour nerds in it yum!), I got toffee ice cream. It was a toffee flavored ice cream with chunks of chocolate covered toffee in it. While it was pretty sweet, it was delicious! So, that is 1 of 10 ice creams!!!

After going to Casey's, Jare and I decided to rent a movie. We rented Alice in Wonderland. I don't quite know how I felt about the movie, but none the less that is movie number 2 of 26 down. A and D are done, now the other 24 letters!!

Saturday was a wonderful day! I went over to Cuyahoga Falls to hang out with two of my wonderful college friends! I met Julie for lunch and then Starbucks. We are sure the people at Starbucks were like "its about time" when we left. lol. But for lunch, I tried a new restaurant (and discussed many more options for new restaurants to try). We went to Swenson's and it was actually really good. I am not really a burger eater (I am more now than I was before, but still would rather have something else when I go out to eat), but since that is what they are known for I had to try one. So that is 1 out of 5 new restaurants tried!

Today, I have also begun doing a little bit of research for my Masters. I don't think I will be starting that up any time in the very near (as in not this fall) future, but I do need to weigh my options and see what is out there for me! So, it is a step in the right direction as far as that goes.

Well, I guess that is all I have to share for now. Thanks for listening to (or should I say thanks for reading?) my ramblings.

What a week its been!

So as of Tuesday, I have started my project! Tuesday I didn't do much off of my list, but I did start book 1 of 50. I have decided to start reading The Sacred Romance: Drawing Closer to the Heart of God by. Brent Curtis and John Elderedge. So far, I think I am going to enjoy and learn a lot from this book.

I guess I could tell you about another new experience I had that was not on my list, because I wish that I would have never experienced it! Tuesday evening, we were all outside with Jasmine. She wasn't on a leash or chain because when we are in the yard (and even if we leave her for a minute by herself outside) she does pretty well with staying in the yard. Well, for some unknown reason she decided to jet across the street. This happened at the same time a car was coming. Jared yelled her name, but I screamed it like I saw a murder happening. She was hit on the shoulder by the car and then flew backwards and came running right back to us in the yard. So, she got hit by a car and had nothing wrong with her!!! How crazy!?! The car had chunks of plastic off of it, but Jasmine was unharmed. Now if she were bigger this would make more sense to me, but she is a small, not even 50 pound, puppy. She was playing like her normal self and didn't even seem shook up. I think she was more worried about getting in trouble than the fact that she was just hit by a car. It was a bigger deal to me than her.

Day 2 of 1001: (June 2)
So I started goal 1 (watch 26 new movies that start with each letter of the alphabet). Last night we watched Dear John. I loved the book, the movie was good. But of course, I liked the book a lot better than the movie.

I also received a recipe from a friend for spaghetti sauce!! So, when I have some time, I am going to try to make it and accomplish that goal!! Also, one of the guys that works with Jared is looking into getting his masters in social work and told Jared he would get me some info from Slippery Rock about the program! Again, a step in the right direction for my goals!! I have also looked up some inspirational quotes/verses to put on the post-it notes. So, soon I will be getting those together and start placing them around. I won't be putting all of the post-it notes out in one day, but I wanted to start writing some out so if I ever am in a good location, I can put one up!!

Well, I guess I should go finish getting ready for work. Have a blessed day!
